October 2nd EP Release Show

New show scheduled!

Hi all,

We’re excited to announce that our next Bay Area show is scheduled. Come out to Shattuck Downlow in Berkeley on Friday October 2nd. This is a bad ass venue (it’s literally underground, by the way) that has killer sound and hosts great national acts year round, so it’s a real treat for us to play there. Mark your calendars!

Many of you have expressed interest in B-sides from the Sentimental Education sessions. There are literally dozens of tracks, so we got to thinking about which ones are good enough to share. We’ve picked a small handful of the tunes we dig and they will comprise the new Pick Up the Phone EP, which will be released…Friday October 2nd at the Shattuck Downlow in Berkeley. We’re limiting the pressing to 300 copies, so if you want one, come to the show and act quickly.

Also, big THANK YOU’s to all the folks who reviewed Sentimental Education on iTunes. You guys said some very encouraging and flattering stuff. We are encouraged and flattered. Thank you! Please be sure to share the album with a friend.

Also, we’ve just viewed our first rough cut of the “Untitled/Dark Divider” video. It looks amazing. Not sure when that will be complete, but it will be worth the wait. We’re aiming to have a single/video package on iTunes this Fall.

Love,
Stomacher

we’re on itunes!

We’re officially on iTunes! If you haven’t purchased the record yet, it’s a great place to grab it. And if you’ve already purchased the record take some time and write a quick review

Success!

stomacheraug7-1767WOW! A huge thank you to the Slim’s staff, Lommori Productions, the great bands that played, and especially the 350+  people in attendance that came out on Friday.   The Stomacher CD release party was a smash hit and it was a joy to play for all of you.

Also, a big thanks to everyone that picked up a copy of the new album. So far the response has been overwhelmingly positive. If you don’t have it yet, you can get it on our website as mp3’s or as a CD mailed to your front door. Now would be a good time to mention that the CD booklet features some beautiful photos taken all over the world by our good friend, Mark. It also contains a complete set of lyrics for each song, plus all of the “who’s, when’s, and where’s.” If you don’t have it yet, check it out.

Moving right along, we are soon to release a Stomacher music video for the song “Untitled/Dark Divider.” This is going to be something really special. In anticipation of the video, we’ll be releasing “Untitled/Dark Divider” as a single that will include an unreleased bonus track.   There were some great songs that didn’t fit into the “Sentimental Education” record, so we’re taking this opportunity to begin sharing those with you.  We may even decide to perform some of those songs in the near future, which brings us to the topic of upcoming shows.

Our show calendar will be updated shortly. We’re planning some gigs out of town and also assembling a great lineup for our next Bay Area show. This is where your input comes in: Where would you like to see us play (city/venue)? What Bay Area bands are you digging right now? What else would give you and your friends incentive to come out to the show? We want to hear from you.

Thanks again to each of you for listening and staying in touch with Stomacher. Be on the lookout for the “Untitled/Dark Divider” single and video coming very soon. More shows to come.
With Love,

Stomacher   (J, G, J, S, and J)
